Hi JBowdach

No problem.  Download and install DrasticPreview, DrasticPreview Pro or MediaReactor Workstation.  Generate a site code and email it to us.  We will send you a temporary key.

FYI All:  Thanks to 'The African Attachment' we have sorted out a Premiere/MediaComposer audio bug with the current version of MLV files.  The updates are up on our site:

What about Final Cut Pro X ? I still See no Support  >:( I thought you guy are working on a plugin !
Or have you Drop the plugin Idea all together, it seem Funny that you have support for fcp7 which is a obsolete apple program
but not for X . So it looks like a Dead end Street here for fcpx or any new apple product.

Hi Reddeercity,

Unfortunately we have had only a couple of requests for FCP-X.  We are getting users and more requests on MediaComposer, Premiere, Scratch and NuCoda - but FCPX has been flat for ML requests, and other file reader requests.  We have the API/SDK for it, but without reasonable demand, we have not been able to allocate the programmers necessary to do the work.  I would not call it a dead end, but definitely a roadblock  :)  We do support Premiere, MediaComposer and Scratch on Mac, and we will add support for any other OS-X based program were there is reasonable demand.

Hi All

There is a new update for MediaReactor Workstation for Windows 64 bit that improves handling of audio in multi part MLV files, and adds more support for multi part RAW (R00, R01) files.  It is available now at

http://www.mediareactor.ws

As always, testers and suggestions are always welcome.

Cheers, James

Hey James,

would come the opportunity to change whitebalance? And do other stuff like you can do with the red footage in Pr? or with ACR.. like adjust darks, lights, shadows and more..
change LUT, Gama and so on??
I mean its RAW and people who shoot RAW wanna do thees things

when this and everything else works and everything this is still up to date, I will really pay 99 Dollars.

Id be happy to test it out with MLV. How can I get on the beta list, as I i remember I previously had licensing issues with the beta.

Thanks, Jason

Awesome, been looking for a product like this for quite some time. Needing a different media player for every format is a royal pain, especially with raw and prores files. I'll give the demo a shot, I'm definitely interested to see how well it runs.

Found a major issue right after installing. When importing dng's into After Effects that have been converted from mlv's, After Effects detects the file format as QuickTime, thereby preventing one from importing as a camera raw image sequence and adjusting the footage with Adobe Camera Raw. Also, importing an mlv straight into After Effects works, but the debayering is very poor. Are there work-arounds for these issues?

@Infinitebuzz, Mediareactor v5 works great with MLV files natively in Premiere and After effects. It plays back pretty much real time, which is great. This is exactly what I've been looking for!

Has there been any progress with creating an ACR-like module that can edit the raw metadata, similar to how it works with Red footage? See the video at 00:40 for what I mean. https://vimeo.com/52037147. There was discussion about this functionality from 2013 but I haven't seen anything about it since.

Hi All

There are two new plugin sets available for MLV:

MediaReactor Lite for Avid
http://www.drastic.tv/40-mediareactor/mediareactorws/282-mediareactorliteavid
MediaReactor Lite for Adobe
http://www.drastic.tv/productsmenu-56/mediareactorlist/mediareactor-lite-adobe

They are both available for 99$ and contain plugins for multiple camera raw formats, mov quicktime without quicktime player and Panasonic/Sony MP4 support.  Trial licenses are also available
