Hi,
I am thinking of selling audio monitoring cables for canon 550d/600d cameras. I have already made one and if they are popular I will make more. I know that the Sescom cables aren't too popular because they are very expensive - so I am going to price these around £30. They will be only available in the UK.
These cables are around 3x smaller tan the sescom cables.
If you are interested, please leave a reply below.
Also these cables do work fine on the canon 600d - but they must be running ML Nightly. 550ds work on 2.3 stable.
(pictures to follow)
Thanks,
Sam

Why so expensive ?

Just bought a Audio Adapter 3,5mm and a Adapter from 3,5 to StereoCinch
then plug the Headphone to the 3,5mm the 3,5mm to the Stero to Cinch
and into the cinch the AV cable. For less than 2$ / €

I agree. These connectors would not exactly be difficult to make. The parts can be sourced pretty cheap on eBay and to charge so much is excessive.

I have seen that people buy the Sescom cables, even though they are expensive.
What would you think would be a reasonable price? I made this thread only to see who would be interested and at what price they would sell for.
Thanks for the feedback.

I think that's for you to work out.

As in any enterprise you work out your parts labour etc. and then consider, first of all, if it's viable. Then you work out what a fair price is. You will see what is the right price as people will be buying it!

I am sorry to point out the obvious but to sell things at over inflated prices, is to take the consumer as foolish. A fool and his money is soon parted. All you have to do is find the fool! (if profit is your primary aim)
