« on: September 18, 2017, 12:36:44 PM »
Hi,
I bought the cheap yongnuo 35mm lens but in ML I do not get the focus distance information.
Someone can point to me how to achive that?

AFAIK this lens doesn't write focus distance info to EXIF. I suppose there is no encoder built in.
Please double check with an exif viewer of your choice.
If you need focus distance in post you may use Exiftool.

thx for your answer, but I do not know how to do that. when I mount the lens and I move the focus ring no distance are reported in the ML overlay (just the ML text). it depends on lens?

Sure it does. Lens without an encoder are not able to do this. Same with old Canon EF 50/1.8 II and others.
