Hi there,

Wondered if any one has any good tips on deflicker and ettr, i did a time lapse shot yesterday and wanted mainly the sky to be flicker free, dumb me metered on a white building so the sky suffers flicker, how would someone go about keep the sky flicker free? im worried that if i meter on a cloud, when cloud's pass or are not in the meter box ettr will change its exposure and cause flicker.

Cheers.

Set percentile to 75 or something.

Quick hack: ETTR will show you where these percentiles fall on the image (choose 100-percentile as highlight ignore and the red border is where it will deflicker). The orange border is always the 50th percentile.

Cheers A1ex, Will give that a try!

Does deflicker target need to be higher than ettr's exposure target or can they match? say deflicker -3 and ettr exspoure target -2?

I was talking about percentile ;)
