Focus stacking with silent picture

In liveview I focus on the subject either with AF/MF then go into focus menu activate "follow focus" then click "focus end point" this will bring you into liveview with the menu-option still showing on the display. With the maindial scroll either left or right to set your focus end point steps. Then go to "Focus stacking" set the number of front and behind pics you need. make sure silent picture is on and hit play once you have the number of shots set up. Thats all i did and it worked for me. Then post in whatever software you for stacking.

What resolution are the pics?Are they big enough for printing?

They are 1824x1224, i.e not very large - afaik there is the possibility to do much larger silent pics of static objects, unfortunately it doesn't seem to be on top of the priority list (the old 422 implementation has a "matrix" mode, and rumor has it for raw silent on digic5 it'd be easier to get more res).
