5dMKII for payed work?

Hi,

Im sorry I admit I am very new to the ML Raw hack.
Allot has been said about the 5dmkIII but less about the mkII.
I gather the ML hack does not work as well on the MKII.

My question is can you get a proper secure workflow with shooting RAW on a 5dMKII.

1, How long segments at a time can you record?

2, What would I need to invest in to get a good ML workflow to b able to shoot music videos and short movies?

3, is there anywhere I can get some easy reading to bring me up to date on the 5dMkII hack and where it is at?

Sorry but all this info is here in the forum, you can't expect anyone to give you a summary on your questions because it would take volumes to discuss the viability of the 5D2 for payed jobs.

Depends, if you only have a 5D2 body A LOT! Dave Dugdale has been through the process of building a custom PC and getting RAW up and running http://www.learningdslrvideo.com/
You probably want a mosaic engeneering filter for RAW too, good CF cards, but hey; this list would be too long!

I'd be inclined to start with the 2.3 Stable release for the 5d2, which has reasonable documentation. My understanding is that ML was started to realize the potential of 5d2 video and audio.

Note that there has been a LOT of new features to Nightly-Builds, but it can take quite a bit of digging around to figure out how the features work.
