Ever tried to use your camera without ML?

Yes of course thanks for asking.  Just learning the behavior of ML for video as I was an early adopter with the T2i but mainly used the image functions for things like hdr.  Now raw video is interesting and have messed all weekend doing much of the same as reported here (trying different resolutions, comparing to the Canon MOV video.)  Nothing new to report except my work flow is:

PDR on the raw file
Extract to dngs
Used Bridge to bring into PS6
Edit in PS6 and save to TIF
Use either QuickTime or PS6 to render movie. 
 
So all is ok, really.

When shooting ML raw, the TV values on my camera change along with the iso and will not remain fixed.  Only in the M settings does TV values stay fixed.

Presumably you're talking about recording movies because you mentioned needing it to stay at 60 in an earlier post. If so, I strongly recommend you either check your answer to a1ex's question or read page 170 if you have the English manual.

For the record an 8 bit jpeg has by definition less information than the raw file. Still a lot more than H264 though, so you are both right....

On a side note, 650D will support proper dual iso. Say hi to as much DR as our friends at nikon :-)

I think you have lost rationality.

=) maybe so, perhaps you can explain why it is called a lossy compression then if there is no loss?. All I was saying (and this would not have made his/your workflow anymore complex) is save to tiff or png instead, its absolutely no harder but gives you zero loss.

Pink dot remover (v0.8 and v0.7 ) seems doesn't work on the RAW from the latest ML version (31.08.2013).

Don't know what are you talking about. Just tried latest PDR on 31.08 ML build and everything is just fine.

By the way, check out my fork of PDR, it has much less artifacts for now.

Nope but I always use this resolution, and PDR 0.8 works great with same resolution files from an older ML version.

I have the same issue that the PDR wont work with Video Crop Mode, without Crop it works well.
The ML-Version i have used: ML_N_31.08.2013

Hey guys, I'm running a build I downloaded from the previous topic about a month or two ago. I'm on 1.0.1, my magic lantern firmware says it's V2.3 NEXT.2013Jul10.650D101. I'm sure I could find the file on my computer too if that helps.

What I want to know is, how do I update to the latest version of magic lantern? Am I going to have to upgrade to 1.0.4? I'm a total noob at this, just walk me through simply how to upgrade to the most recent build of magic lantern.

That's not true. Sandisk Extreme Pro 45 MB/s have a write speed around 21.2 MB/s. That's far from enough to shoot continuous 720p.

There are different series of Sandisk Extreme cards. Those one 45 MB/s with “Pro” have write speed about 21 MB/s. That's fact.
Don't know about newer ones without “Pro” though. May be you are talking about them.
