What versions of IDA do people use?

Just curious to know what versions of IDA pro most people are using? A long time ago someone shared their IDA database with me but unfortunately I couldn't open it :(

We use the latest one. Bought it in november last year.

Unfortunately my version doesn't open all of the databases others create. Not sure if it matters if you've used a linux or mac version to create them. A couple of years ago they changed the license so you only get the version you specified so even if I wanted to I couldn't run it under linux or mac.

The database should be cross-platform but I'm quite sure you can't open an IDA 6 database on IDA 5
