What?! He got it to work? How?

Dang - just sent my card back to Komputerbay!

Here's what I got from them;

They have the 128 1000x CF from KB

Well, at first i also got an 1000x 128GB, and ML worked just fine on my 50D. But sadly it was too slow for constant shooting so i sent it back. They gave me the choise, to get my money back or getting the 1000x replaced by an 1050x. You can guess what my decision was ;)

So all in all, size doesn't matter ;) it's just the new 1050x that doesn't work.

Something else i noticed: With the 1050x in my 50D it takes very long (5-10 sec) till the camera "boots" (clean card without ML on it).

I got TragicLantern on 128 1050x from KB on 50D.

1. format from Canon GUI
2. copy ML files from older card
3. use EOSCard.exe utility to make the card bootable (also click on ML button in the utility)
4. install firmware update via Canon GUI
5. reboot

It's fast!

Enjoy.

I did the same thing but used MacBoot, again perfect. Working 128gb KB 1050x in a 50d.

So anyone had no more problems with 128gb CF cards on 50D and 5D2?
It works ok?

EDIT:
I´m using 128gb Toshiba 1000x and its working ok :)

We tested it on the 5DM2 a while back. This has been a non issue for quite some time.
