I'm working on a windows machine.  I want to use resolve lite.  Apparently QuickTime Prores is not an option when using a windows machine.  I'd like to edit in Premiere cs6.

There is a Quicktime DNxHD 1080 444 option.  It seems to work well.  Would you recommend something over this?

I prefer CinemaDNG -> Grade in Resolve Lite -> Roundtrip to Premiere Pro/CC

On Windows, chmee's raw2cdng.exe http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=5618.0 or batchetator http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=5645.0 should get the footage.

See http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=7030.0 for getting roundtrip working.  The only time-consuming process is generating proxies that you bring into Premiere, but Resolve really rocks for color matching!  Also the proxy part you only really need to do once.  Fortunately it is GPU-accelerated.

Thanks PeopleMerge!  Interesting video.  I'm new to Resolve so it was very helpful.

One question - when you do a final project render in Resolve does it recognize any effects from Premiere, or titles, what about Magic Bullet's Denoiser?  What if you speed up or slow down footage?

Thanks again!

I'm hoping others will confirm this, but I assume you:
1. export an XML from premiere
2. import it into Resolve
3. do your color corrections in Resolve
4. export an XML from Resolve
5. import the new XML back into Premiere
6. Render using Adobe Media Encoder

Is this correct?
