V-mount battery for RAW acquisition - Will it work?

Did a search for this, but didn't find anything similar. Seeing as the batteries for the 50D run out faster than tickets to a JB concert, I've been pondering whether something like this ought to work. What do you guys think?

These are the Lanparte line? I was thinking about going this way when HDMI recording was the dream. It looks perfect for the ssd unit and the ability to power everything is a godsend, but I don't know how the HDMI dual out will play with the raw module. These aren't cheap either - £400+ with two batteries.

If it's too expensive just build your own. Anything in the range of 7.4-8.1V is fine.

It work fine to power your camera but its quite expensive but can film long periods without changing the battery.
