Unless I'm being stupid...When in Av mode the shutter speed is adjusted according to the focal length of the lens being used. The Canon implementation of this will recognise the crop factor sensor, such as my 7D, and select a shutter speed; say 1/320 for a 200mm lens. But it seems the advantage of our expensive IS lenses are being wasted? Is it possible in a menu item, say, to specify the number of stops (1-4) so that the shutter speed selected reflects the use of IS. So instead of 1/320, it might be 1/80 or whatever. Of course the real answer is to shoot manual, but that doesn't suit everyone..

Couldn't find this anywhere else - sorry if its a duplicate.
