[IMPOSSIBLE] Audio for a few seconds

I have read that if you switch off audio you can set the camera to better bit rates. To help with syncing would it be possible to record lower settings for a few seconds with audio then automatically switch to the better setting without audio?

(it may be possible to hack something that seems to work, but I'm talking about doing it right, without side effects)

I was able to get high bit rate + audio... in 25 P. So would have to find where audio is synced to frame rate + control bit rate via slice.
