[IMPOSSIBLE?] SL1/100D front wheel for exposure compensation

While shooting video the only way to change exposure compensation in for ex. AV mode is to hold the exp. button near the 4 way buttons and scroll the front wheel.

If it is possible the compensation should be able just with scrolling the wheel without holding the second button (this adds shake to recording). Now on itself it does nothing so it's "free".

As read in IMPOSSIBLE topic this might not be an option but I hope there is something new on the horizon to make this possible - since it's not remap it's just omitting one button press.

On current cameras, it's not possible to remap the scrollwheel without bringing some Canon menu first (in shooting mode it doesn't behave like normal buttons; instead of button press events, you get events about shutter/aperture/exposure changing). The only exception is the 5D classic.

I didn't look in the SL100, but it's unlikely that anything changed on this side.
