Nightly builds for 5D3?

I'm a bit confused over what builds are for the Canon 5d mark III.

The nightly builds I find don't have the 5D3 name in the filename and don't work in the camera yet I've seen threads of people testing nightly builds on the 5D3.

So far I've assumed that 5D3 is in Alpha stage and doesn't support:

• File Manager
  Saving RAW configs (have to set res each time)

I don't think that version is brand new.

I heard July 8th build is the new one for 5D mk3.

I have asked on several occasions if there is development at all for the current 5D3 firmware.
Everything I see is related to the old firmware.

Nobody bothered to answer.

How wise is it to develop for an outdated firmware and then start all over
for the current firmware?

It seems wiser to me to port what is already finished to the new firmware
(which would give people at least alpha functionality AND the peace of mind
not to suffer from the AFMA-error) and then proceed from there.

RAW might be nice, maybe, in the future.

But focus peaking, magic zoom and waveform display are far more essential to me.

But whenever I asked about this nobody bothered to answer.

Downgrade or wait. Its not your call to make.

Unless you can help the Devs compare the old and new firmware line by line and make changes so that ML works on the newer Canon firmware without risking damage.

Stop complaining, no one is answering you because there are hundreds if not thousands of people that are happy to stick with the older firmware so we can get the benefits of Magic Lantern.
