I have a 40D (and a few lenses) which i use for photography and now I want to get a DSLR for video... Which one should I get the t3i or the t4i?
On the one hand the t3i has 3x crop mode which AFAIK greatly reduces moire and aliasing and its ML port is almost fully functional.  On the other hand t4i has newer processor (DIGIC 5) and higher max write speed (40mb/s while the t3i has only 21mb/s) so I can get higher RAW recording res.
Btw t4i's video AF and touch screen are not something that i really care about.
So is the price difference really worth it?

Thanks to ML 650D has video crop mode, too.

That's great... But is it digital or it works the same way as 600D's one.
BTW i have one more question - If i use the crop mode on the t3i can i get 720p RAW recording for at least 10 secs?

Both are digital and therefore there is no "or".

Can't answer this one. Maybe bullitmcqueen or another 600D user may step in.
