Hello!

I just installed ML on my 500D, this is a 4GB card.
Is it possible to just insert another card without ML and just run it like a normal one without ML?
Or do I have to uninstall ML first to be able to use a non-ML card?

I read about it in the installation guide but I didn't understand that part.

EDIT:

I just read this:

"A low level formatted card (used normally) is not bootable.
this is what happen when card is NOT bootable:
1. Bootloader starts up and checks card and boot settings
2. It will find the Boot Flag set so it will check for a bootable card
3. Not found so it will load ONLY canon firmware"

Does this answer my question or is it something else?

When you initially run ML the fir adds a little bit to the canon software so that it can read the boot file ( the boot file is hidden.)that in turn reads the autoexec.bin file that is on the sd card. If you put in a formated card the camera will run as a stock canon.
