LiveView Preset Switching on Rec

Hey,
So I'm noticing a lot better results with fewer corrupt frames with Global Draw off (duh), but I like having the data on screen (especially the NOT RECORDING box) in between shots.  Would it be possible to have it set to switch to a different present (one with GD off) when I hit record?

I do this already. It is required for 600D and I'm betting 50D. If you're getting pink frames its probably CPU usage and/or GD.

*only side effect I have is I can't clear the screen after canon buffer is disabled so sometimes get "busy", black bars/etc. Putting an msleep before clearing screen fixes it but produces corrupt frames at the begining so I've lived with it.

I was using global draw with Ghost Image and Histogram for ETTR hint, and I was getting pink, corrupt frames every 2-3 mins on a 64gb record.

I turned it off... and no corrupt frames yet.

It would also be good to be able to either clear the screen for recording, or be able to switch to focus assist while the camera is rolling.
