I would to add an option to the "silent pictures feature", that would allow to execute flash while taking a picture.
That would be a great stuff. What do you think about this? :P

I'm afraid it's not possible, look the thunderbolt experiments to find out why.

satriani

I have to admit, I don't quite understand what you mean.
What has a thunderbolt to do with flash?  :o

I don´t unterstand either. I need this feature too, I am looking for a fast shooting solution that can trigger flashes every frames for half a year now.

Isn´t it possible to trigger a flash at all from ML? Thanks a lot!

satriani

I hope that a1ex just misunderstood me  ;D
I can not imagine that it is impossible to trigger a flash while taking a silent picture.

If you know how, be my guest and implement it.

(I don't)

Then try to sync it with the rolling shutter.

satriani

If you can't, then I can't either :)
Very sad that we will never have this amazing feature in ML  :-\

Hopefully not annoying you too much, but I have to ask this again, because I still don´t understand why it is technically impossible to make a flash fire with silent pictures.

In the above mentioned Bolt-Trigger-Module, the camera is trying to capture flashes appearing at an unknown moment, whereas the time of the silent exposures is well known, no? Isn´t this a completely different thing?

Tanks a lot! Martin.
