Hello all!

I just wanted to make sure I'm not missing something. As of right now, there is no build of ML for 650D that displays audio meters?

I made a video for step by step instructions on how to install magic lantern
on the 650D for anyone who is unsure what to do

Well, that's unfortunate. I have another question.

For recording RAW video, what picture settings/styles should I be using? Does it even matter? Say I'm trying to get the highest dynamic range out of a shot.

spider

It's Raw so it does not matter.

So RAW recorded on auto can lead to the same end product as RAW recorded on Cinestyle? Sorry for the probably nooby questions, but I'm pretty new to all of this.

So my camera got bricked while trying to install ML the first time. When I sent it in to Canon they fixed the problem, but the suck part is they upgraded my firmware to 1.0.4  :'(

I doubt there is any way to install 1.0.0 after 1.0.4 is activated. Is there? If there is please let me know I would be forever in your debt.

Sincerely,

Nevermind I read through the thread. Doesn't make it suck less.   :(

First of all, Picture Style doesn't increase your dynamic range.
Second, RAW is recorded before picture style is added, therefore, you can still change the picture style on photoshop/your editing software.

correct me if I'm wrong. ;)

Hi,

For people interesting in a 32gb card, i've receive my Sandisk Extreme 32gb 45mb/s class 10 purchased on amazon France for 32€.

I immediately benchmark it on ML, and results are very good !

Read and write speed around 40MB/s (seems to be the maximum speed for the 650d)

Max write speed : 41.3 MB/s (16384k buffer)
Max read speed  : 43.5 MB/s (16384k buffer)

That's a good constructor : announce 45MB/s, and almost made it !

I was a happy person with Magic Lantern on my 650D.  :)

:(

I had an issue too that upgrading the firmware seemed to be the only fix. I had been using ML since March and I'm missing it big time.  In time someone will have it worked out.
