new guy wondering about time code

Hi -- new to ML and an old-timer to television production.  I learned to love time code in the 80's and have always depended on it.  Is there any feature/function in ML which allows the user to put time code on your video?  I would appreciate any response.  Thanks.

It's been asked for a few times and always been responded to as a not possible or too difficult.
Same with the request for black borders on videos, which has also been requested combined with time code.

At the same time I have been told it could be possible to do black borders and write/draw onto video if it's written onto the image buffer or something, but nothing like that has been done. And whether you are asking about time code on the mp4 video or on the raw video is another thing.
Ultimately it probably is possible to implement into the mp4 video, but I'm not sure if anybody is going to try.
