550d/T2i RAW Help

Ok, so I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to ML and code. I have the stable 2.3 release on my 550d but I'm curious about getting the RAW video feature. However, I don't understand how to get it as all of the posts I have seen involve some editing some code which I just don't get.

No need to start editing code if you just want to give it a try. take a look at the 550D thread. There are a couple of developers uploading test builds.

Extract the zip then copy the files over the current 2.3 build on your SD card.

Then activate the RAW_rec module within ML (turn dial to movie then press the delete key to enter the ML menu structure) then you can turn on raw video in the movie settings of ML. Select your res exit the menu and then you can try and record some raw video.
