It doesn't seem to be the continuous AF in Canon menu, I don't use it anyway even without ML running 'cause it just makes me sick to see my lens focusing all the time :D

No it just seems that the camera is makin the One Shot AF after the focus stacking steps and before taking the picture, so it just ruins the focus stacking obviously  ;D

There is no way to disable the Canon AF temporarily so that I could use the focus stacking option ?

Are the focus tools (follow focus, rack focus, stack focus) working for anyone else?

[/quote]The focus tools work fine as long as Continuous focus is off in photo mode and Movie Servo AF is off in Movie mode, but stack focus doesn't seem to be working right, it does not re focus in steps, it just does a normal Auto focus on first picture, then takes all the stack pictures and at the end of it it focuses to the end point set.

Got it, take a look at cfn.c, and at AF_BTN_STAR / AF_BTN_HALFSHUTTER constants. These are needed for ML to disable autofocus for photos.

No, you will need to wait for next nightly once it is committed, working on that now though. 8]

Or until then, u can test it out with this one.

I have just installed firmware 1.1.3. does this mean that ML that I installed with 1.1.1 is now removed? I believe so.  I just want someone that is an ML expert to confirm please.

So how stable is the recent nightly build for this thing, or, how far away is it from being stable? I just bought a t5i, its on 1.1.1. Is it safe to update firmware and use ML, can i just use ML alone? have people experienced bricking or any crashes etc?

Did small tweak to ALO code, thanks to Alex. Just in case it don't get into nightly anytime soon, best to have this version.

Working fine on my T5i. Thanks for this. The audio metres are just what we need. At least they remind me when I have forgotten to switch-on the Rhode video microphone.

I use Lightform C and Lightform N picture styles for most of my projects and strangely the ZEBRA stripes don't work with these two styles. If I switch to Visiontech picture style or one of the camera's on-board styles (Neutral or Faithful) the ZEBRAS work fine. Fortunately I can use the HISTOGRAM when the ZEBRAS aren't visible. Totally weird or am I missing something?

Some picture styles are not using the full 0-255 range, so you need to change the thresholds for zebras.

Hello guys,
this is my situation: Canon 700D (firmware 1.1.1) and Lens 18-135 STM (firmware 1.1.5).
The "rack focus" does not work.
It seems that the left and right buttons on the "set" button does not rule the lens for set the strat focus point.
I have the nightly builds magiclantern-v2.3.NEXT.2014Jan20.700D111
Can anyone help me?

I'm sorry for the translation. I'm italian.

I don't have any issues with it, I use the dial by the shutter button to go left and right while holding set button, easier on my fingers too.

Ok guys this is my experience.
I tried to mount a lens on the 700D 55/250 (no STM) and the rack focus worked perfectly.
It 'possible that the objectives STM (stepper motor technology ) the rack focus does not work?

Ciao

I am sure that is possible, maybe stm lens is the issue if it is not working right with the ML code, afterall, the one new thing about them is how they focus. We should put in help so other know it dont work on STM lenses.
