raw to exr
« on: May 26, 2013, 05:35:08 AM »
Anyone going form raw to exr?

nuke, hiero, resolve, speedgrade, to name a few don't like dng's at all.

I need a solution to go from raw to exr and hopefully without having to go to dng first.

Thanks so much for everyone involved in this raw workflow, raw video from a canon dslr is amazing, never ever thought I'd see the day.

here's something interesting to.

nikon raw to exr script. I'm not much of a programmer, but I may have a go at getting canon's raw to exr.

I've just tried it. It doesn't convert the .RAW, since it's not only one image, but it does convert the .dng to 24-bits TIFFs quite fast (no options to recover-change anything, though). Maybe it has some utility for fast preview or alternative proxy generation (I'm talking about the small jpeg option).

24bit means what? 8-8-8bit? thats no solution. beside that, its not that easy converting bayer to rgb - fairly saying, it gives an exr thats prebaked - theres no return to original data.
