Here's a short video I've made.
Shot at 1728 x 972 (16:9) @ 25fps, I get 134 frames every time on a Sandisk Extreme 45 mb/s or Sandisk Extreme Pro 95 mb/s.
I used a Minolta MD 50 F1.7 with an adapter.

PS:Any ideas on how to stop the pink frames?

How are you able to get 134 frames? No matter what settings and releases I try, I get maybe 50 frames at the highest resolution.
What release do you use?

i get almost 1000 frames in 1280x544 on my 60d, sandisk 95mbps, why dont u guys use this resolution more. No issues except a few pink pixels hardly noticeable.

Still havnt settled on a most effective workflow

I get something in that neighborhood - what do you have the canon video settings at?

Remember always turn of Global Draw, switch Stills mode to s3 (jpg not raw), disable audio. I'm having 0 issues with pink frames at 1728 2.35.

Sandisk extreme 45mb/s

I had this one, and yes, I couldn't have more than 50 frames at the maximum resolution.
I sent it back to Amazon and bought this one instead: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006YAOPLK/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It is perfect. Don't waste money in a 95 Mb/s

Could you be a bit more speciffic? How many more frames at what resolution compared to what?

Seeing as everyone seems to be getting very different results, I decided to make a spreadsheet were all of us can list settings, how many frames we're getting etc. and hopefully find out what works best.

Any one trying DaVinci to colour correct 60D Raw dng files?

Last workflow I've tried was Hunter H. Richards.

I get pretty good results with ACR but I cannot say the same about DaVinci Resolve.

Can any one report good results using 60D Raw + DaVinci?

I can report good results with Davinci.

raw -> RawMagic (cinema dng) -> Davinci (BMD film color space) -> Apply Hook's LUT (or any other lut) and tweak.

The only problems I run in to are bad/dead/hot pixels. lv_af_raw fixes this but this is not recommended as it's an edge detection filter and there are some artifacts. ACR removes the bad pixels, Davinci does not. So, if there were a way to remove the dead pixels for davinci it would be a god-send!

Somewhat NOOB question. I have been having fun playing with RAW video on my 60D, but the workflow and low res is not for me for regular shooting. So, I would like to be able to shoot normal most of the time but have RAW capability when I want it.

So my question is, using the most recent version of the 60D raw files that automatically disables global draw when shooting raw, if I reboot my camera with modules turned off, and enable audio, is my camera then shooting normal ML video and audio? Or do I need to have separate SD cards set up with the 2 different versions?

I have tested using the reboot without modules and it seems to work as expected but thought I best check with the experts.

FYI, I am using the 2.3 stable version of ML, not the nightly builds, with the 60D raw autoexec and modules added.

Thanks.

You can still load the modules; just turn off RAW video

Ok thanks, guess I should have guessed it was that simple but went right over my head.

I can put it from a raw file to a dng
but the DNG file is resolution 0x0
so CAMERA RAW in after effects can't open it. Can somebody help me out?
Thanks

What are you using to convert the RAW file?

Im curious is update 10 being compiled hourly like update 9? I'm trying to figure out whether to update using the newest hourly of update 9 or keep update 10. I think in update 9 I was getting  960 x 544 where update 10 its 960 x 540 i think. I know the tiniest adjustments in resolution helps with more frames. Just trying to figure out which build is the best to test and run with right now.

About a month ago Bioskop Inc. was saying that he A1ex was hoping that there might be another 128mb of buffer memory that could be allocated. I have been following along the entire thread but it seems like there has been no news on this front for a while.

Does anyone know if it looks likely that more buffer memory is going to be leveraged in the future? Every bit is precious in this case :)
