Aperture in silent RAW pic
« on: May 23, 2013, 01:08:02 PM »
Hi guys,
I'm using 550D with 50mm (lastest nightly 23may13). According to MTF test my lens works better with  f5.6 but when I'm using liveview mode (M and Av) for silent RAW pic the aperture tuning doesn't work properly: it's always set to the max (1.4) so the DoF is minimum and the sharpness is very very low.
In liveview M mode the f setting is not corresponding with the aperture (ie. f5.6 is full aperture = f 1.4).
In liveview Av mode the aperture is not changing.
In video mode all works very well.
There is difference between liveview photo mode and video mode (res, crop) or not?
Another question: there is a way in video mode to auto adjust the shutter and keep ISO setting? (auto adjust exposure and keep aperture and iso settings by manual)

Thank you all!
