Rolled back the firmware to 1.1.2. - The problem remained. How can I erase Bootflag which registers ML?

I had to put the very first demo version of ML (to 1.1.2), on which I worked so far. The only way I was able to fix the problem with the sound.
ML version (to 1.1.2) of your archive has the same problem as the ML version (to 1.1.3): when you turn on the camera when the video has no sound recording. Audio recording appears only after entry / exit MENU or browsing

Appears where? I turn it on with auto or manual and I get meters right away. The item remains in the canon menu.

Thanks for the Guide Noisyboy!

Sorry, just a question a few Noob questions :

When I use another SD card without magic latern copied on to it or I disable magic latern at the start - with it be completely turned off? Just sometimes I want max battery power and I know ML can use more power than standard camera.

Are there any adverse effect of bootflags being loaded when ML is not loaded - that does not consume any power/or have any performance effect?

Also to install ML on a new SD card do I follow the same steps use EOScard and just copy on the files.

Really enjoying ML - I should of put it on sooner....

Thanks :)

Sorry for the delay - had a very hectic schedule the last couple months doing shoots back to back so haven't had time for much (not that I'm complaining) ;)

Anyway - you are very welcome my friend and n00b questions are meant to go here so don't be sorry :)

As far as I'm aware there shouldn't be any affect whatsoever on battery and to be honest I haven't noticed any change even when using ML (which is ALL the time).

And yes - basically, run EOScard on the SD card you wish to use, delete the files EOScard puts on there automatically and then replace with the same files you put on your original card. Enjoy :)

What changed in the latest build? It seems like I can get a little faster speed for continuous writing now during raw recording.

And if I can ask this question again since I never got a clear answer. Can anyone explain the bit rate options on the 6D when not shooting raw. For example when I change it all the way up to 50, what is my bitrate then? And at 40. It says 10mb per unit, is 50 then 500mb? I tried a samsung card that claimed a 40 write speed, but I could not even record audio at the same time when using the 50 bit rate increase. Of course my sandisk keeps up every time with a separate wav recording.

There are more settings than that, see iva param thread in the reverse engineering forum. That is just target rate. 10 or 50 is just what the encoder aims for. You want to alter QP or use configs, etc.

Latest pre-reslock is on bitbucket.

From the top [6D] zip file at the top of  1%'s Bitbucket :)

Replace files on your card from the ones in that zip.

If you wish to completely remove then follow these steps. See if the problem remains. If so it's either you or the camera I'm afraid ;)

Since i don't see shutter options in the latest build for fps override i take it that you solved that problem. Good thing :)
Also, my camera showed Err80 on the first boot with the new build; it looks like you know this already too.

You got err 80 on first boot? Did it make a log?

The reslock stops canon from writing to the edmac channels being used by raw video.

Nope, it didn't make a log.
It just happened again, i can't reproduce it though. It happens "randomly".

I think there is a problem with one or more modules since the camera seems to boot fine when those are not loaded at the start.

Also, why is separate audio recording messing up with the lenght of the WAV file?

The wav file header is set for like 2 hours in beep.c, same as all other cameras.

Make sure you don't have auto expo and auto ettr on at the same time. Also bolt_rec/my_rec shouldn't run together with raw_rec

All good now, there is always some kind of conflict when you don't update the modules correctly.

Yep, thats why they come at a package. If ml isn't loading or you get strange err 70/80 its probably the modules/sym.

RAW module says 6D's max res is 1808x1224 but there is no way to get the sensor fully covered(not that it matters).
Also, is there a way to have the unused LV frame blacked out?
