Sorry volks,

how long does the installation process normaly take? First Time Installation!

I did everything right
unpaket the files to my card
started the firmware update process
the 5d showed me the processing screen (for a few seconds)
then everything turned black
no respons for nearly an hour now
hmmm.... Im afraid of a restart! Maybe my camera is crashing then...

what should i do?

Ok, got it myself.

you can say generally, the update process is just immediately.

In my case the wrong firmaware was uploaded.
