Is it possible to up the Frame Rate in Video mode?

Hi there, I was just wondering if higher frame rates could be achived in video mode, for example:

720p @ 90, 120fps
1080p @ 48, 60fps

I just wanted some feedback on this and more info if its been tested before.
EDIT: I have just read the FAQ and the question - "When will we be able to shoot in our Canon 100 fps, 200 fps, 1000 fps!?" and the answer links to a professional camera announced at NAB
So, is there anyway to increase the framerate with the current Canon's?
