Hi
i am trying to use fps override od 6d- i would like to set framerate to 34fps in 1080p to have better quality HDR (i dont care about sound) - it should give 17 light and dark frames instead of 15 (so less interpolating with twixtor). Is it possible? After shooting with 34fps when i am checking footage with mediainfo it shows 29,97.   What is maximum usable overriden framerate for 6d?
Thanks

The fps is never changed in the meta data. So whatever you see on the screen is what actual FPS is. Add the correct frame rate in post.

34 is pretty safe, you can try 36 and see how well the encoder keeps up with it.

36.075 seems a little bit to much, in ipb it stutters sometimes, all-i i think its unusable - stutters very often. 35 is rather ok for ipb and all-i. I am using 45mb/s sandisk extreme, do you think would it be better on extreme pro 95mb/s or its encoders matter?

Can someone please help and check on 6d with 95mb/s card fps ovverride to 36 fps (is it possible to do more or faster card??? - setting to exact 40 still shows 36.075 so i assume not).

Thanks

When I set up override I got it up to 38. It would stutter. This is an encoding IC problem.. now you know why we can't do 1080p60.

The 95 meg card won't do anything at all. 6D doesn't support 208mhz cards. 34/35 should be ok and pretty much max.

thats what i thought, thank you, i would go with 34/35fps, HDR its great anyway.
