Need help, I've installed ML on 500d but nothing's changed

500d firmware ver 1.1.0

this is my installation step
- I downloaded ml v2.3 from http://www.magiclantern.fm/download
-copy and extract the file to root directory in SD card
-install it from 500d by upgrade firmware but failed, led is blinking 10 seconds or more so I reboot and reinstall but still failed

so I download latest firmware from

and succeed and I reboot the camera, format it
and do ML installation steps from ML

after installation succeed and green screen saying installation success I reboot
the firmware has changed firmware ver. 1.1.1-ml-v2.3

but all the function still the same, the only changes happened are:
-displaying memory card free space and some number 10:10 below the image quality
-something like sound equalizer, rgb bar appears in video mode
but functions still the same
when i press menu, it is the same basic view from canon
so nothing's changed

How do I solve this?

my purpose is:
I want to make my shutter speed longer than 30 secs for long exposure photography
and want iso100 on video mode, not auto iso

OMG stupid me it works

iso100 on video mode success

but

slowest shutter speed only 1/25secs in shutter speed menu
and
bulb timer can only hold for 5 secs in bulb timer menu

why are they shorter than standard menu that can hold up to 30 secs and bulb mode that can be anytime we release the button
why?

I need longer than 1 minute to use f22 to achieve much details

Please read the documentation, especially the basics on using the Magic Lantern menu. See this User Guide.

Press the LiveView button while in the Magic Lantern menu to enter the submenu. There you can change the options and values.
