Need help with Stack focus

I've been attempting to make Stack focus work on my 60D, to prepare macro photos for stacking with Helicon.

Either it is simply not working on my camera, or the documentation seems very unclear.  It appears to be written for those who already understand it.

I'm following the steps under Rack Focus / Step-by-step.

I get to #4.  I do not know what it means by the "LEFT/RIGHT buttons".  Where the heck are those?

Also, it refers to pressing "PLAY".  I have no button labeled PLAY.

That stopped me cold.  But just in case, I went ahead and made "Rack Focus" active and pressed SET.  Nothing happens.  No exposures are taken.

The next paragraph about triggering rack focus from the LCD sensor doesn't make any sense to me. How would you do that?
