You can use the intervalometer in the 550d to shoot other DSLR??

Good evening, I need my 550d, 7d when I shoot my timelapsed. I connected the mini jack cable with 2.5 in the 550 and a connector C3 on the 7d. Both are triggered if press the trigger, but when I use the intervalometer not work. How I can shoot both cameras using the 550D as master?

I just tried that myself and found something rather strange: As long as a trigger cable (even just the cable) is connected, none of the ML functions work. I can't even open the menu, tasks like the intervalometer stop and I can't enter LV.

I compiled my version today at 5ec6393c0e82.
However, I remember that that setup should work on a 600D. I can't say much about the 550D, apart from that the differences should be minor.
