Some of this stuff will be useful for 6D with the built in wifi. So far nothing too interesting... besides bypassing auth for PTP.. but I see no substance.

Yep. Seems they just exploited a couple of well known attacks on an unusual device.

Works for me.... tried wifi functions... seems canon limits it to their app or web services. DLNA is supposed to display live view too according to canon docs.. I can only get it to show up as an empty media source in linux.

Is there supposed to be a way to just shoot to your own web server or ftp? I don't want to upload my pics to canon.

The 6d has a better wifi encyption then the 1dx.
