Intervalometer and birdbaths

I pondered for some time how to get some pix of the birds coming for a drink in our garden. Intervalometer was the answer.

I set up, manually focussed, and set a shot every 12 seconds for 400 shots, and went away. Done this twice and had some nice results. About 10% of those 800 shots had a bird in frame, and even smaller percentage was an acceptable shot.

Coud not find a way to attach images. Can anyone help?

Thanks for the suggestion. I have read the minuscule bit in the user guide and could not understand it.

Following your suggestion and seeing another person's work, I will try harder to figure it out.

Yes, I live in Perth Australia.

Will try trap focus later today.

They are Red-tailed Black Cockatoos. Yes, wild, but they appreciate a drink in the summer, as we all do. There is a loose grouping of about 12 in our area.
