I hope after ML is fully released anyone using a wi-fi SD cards post any compatibility issues.  Now that the price on Wi-fi cards have dropped dramatically since summer/fall.   One of those cards will be my first purchase after the full release of ML.  I might be wrong in thinking ML will have any affect on wi-fi.  If I'm wrong just please correct me.

Thanks
Bob

there were some issues but not sure about t4i. it wouldn't work with some eyefi cards on certain cameras.

That's why it would be nice if any users trying different cards would post their results here.  I didn't really find much info on Canon site.

there is a thread with eyefi testing on 600D here, but seems not many use this setup or use it with ml. i was going to buy a card but now 6D has built in wifi.

Wifi was one of things I wished the T4i had.  I can see why not to many people use them.  The price six months ago was double what it is now.  That's the only reason I can considering one now.  Taking pictures with my Iphone has spoiled me when it comes to being able to share the pictures right away.

Thanks for the info on the other thread.

I use the eyefi to tether wireless when shooting indoor. Sometime tried outside and worked but I'm not interested in uploading pic to web right away.
I'm using ML2.3 for photography with:

Did you have any trouble setting up and using the card?  Which card were you using?  I'd like to find a 32g with eye-fi and geocaching  class 10.  I guess a 16g would do.  I know it's just me.  I love gadgets and pushing things beyond their limits.

I have a Sandisk Eye-Fi without geocaching 8GB class 6 IIRC, to have it working with ML need to use EOSBoot or MacBoot since the firmware upgrade method don't works.
I bought it in a place where they accept returns in 5 day, to return it if it was not working with ML, maybe you can use the same approach.
For geocaching I use a gps logger on my android phone and when importing pics they get geotagged.

I didn't bought the 16GB because I prefer more small cards than only one big, to reduce the risk of loss of data.

And your guess is right, no grandchildren here around :D

If eye-fi and ML work on you camera, with the iphone you can find apps for geocaching and importing your camera pics, and share them from there. I think the return option is the best way to test it before keeping the card.

Thanks for all that info.  They're all good tips.  The return policy is a biggie.   I'll be buying on line so I'll have make sure to check stores reviews on how well they live up to their return policies.

I've still been following Wi-fi cards and compatibility.

The Eye-fi Pro X2 seems to be the most compatible for Canon and Mac products.  They are in the mid price range as far as wifi cards go.
Some cards won't work with the 650D and others don't work with Macs.  With the numbers of Mac users increasing no compatibility is odd.  Limited support for most Canon models is even stranger.

I forgot to add most cards are class 6.  I prefer Class 10's.

I am sorry to say it but from my own experience the 'Eye-Fi' cards are total crap.

I was foolish enough to buy one of those and remember having huge problems trying to get it to communicate with an iPad at a distance of less than 4ft (yes that's correct 4 feet).

If it did ever connect to any network then transfer speeds were like from the year 1927 or something.

I so wanted that thing to just work as advertised. It took me lots of calls to PC world to get a refund. I did get a refund thankfully.

Eye-Fi = total garbage

I've put off buying an Eye-fi/wi-fi card because of the slow transfer speed.  I still think they are a great idea if you like that option like I do.
As far as Class 6 or 10, I would buy a class 10 in any card except in an emergency.  There are 3 or 4 companies making Class 10 Eye-fi/wi-fi card now but all of them need to get their transfer speeds up.
