[ALREADY DONE] display focal length on LCD

I thought an older version of ML had this feature where the focal length of the zoom lenses could be displayed on the LCD. I must be missing the steps how to do that again with ver 2.3 if it's even available. If it's not part of ver 2.3, can it be added to the next version?

in movie mode when in focus menu? or on the bottom bar in LV?
I'm using ML2.3 for photography with:
EOS 600DML | EOS 400Dplus | EOS 5D MLbeta5- EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro  - EF-S 17-85mm f4-5.6 IS USM - EF 70-200mm f/4 L USM - 580EXII - OsX, PS, LR, RawTherapee, LightZone -no video experience-

It wasn't there on mine. Found out the Canon displays were turned off.
