That is not normal. What is your battery health status?

It's an old battery. I think it's two out of three bars. I just assumed it was a 7d thing. How long do they normally last shooting video?

The several times that I have test shot with ML raw video shows that ML raw recording is quite savy on battery, a fully charged battery can last pretty long time (say an afternoon plus). That is unexpected because I have piles of batteries in stock (some were prepared for the flashgun).

Btw, anyone knows how to get CHDK working on 7D? I have some quite slow old cards lying around, and I am contemplating shooting dng instead which is directly stolen from some buffer inside the 7D, for I don't trust Canon for its CR2 very much.

Can't find any "Flash Delay" in the Focus setting submenu.
There is only a "Rack Delay". Is it the same ?
I hope it is in seconds, not like the Step delay which is in ms.

I downloaded the latest nightly buid.
I noticed there is a 7D_203.fir in the zip file.
Do I have to update the .fir of my 7d ?
Or only copy the .bin and the directories on my flash card ?

Forget FIR, just delete the old ML dir and copy ML dir and BIN onto the card's root.

I've upgraded my 7D to fw 2.0.5
My third party batteries are still working so there is no big harm in it (like Canon did with 5D3 and 6D).
Dumped the ROM and made a new stubs.S for the new fw version.
