Because there are quite a few people having issues with installing ML on the 7D I have made a new thread for it. Perhaps we can have people with issues get help there instead of cluttering this thread? I find quite often people ask for help that was provided 'three pages ago'. 37 pages to find the answer is a lot :)

Anyways, new thread is here. I know I'm new here, hopefully I'm not stepping on anyone's toes or anything, I just thought maybe if the skilled people were focused on working out the bugs instead of helping us noobs things might progress a little faster, and it might help organization to boot!

Additionally, is there a way to manually flag the card for autoboot without using EOScard?

jphansen, I know it sounds silly, but try formatting the CF card with your computer with a different file system, say NTFS, then format that same card with your camera, then try EOScard again.

Good one  :D

EosCard1.35 working here also, thank you! And to pelican, I have the finnish language version of windows 7 (x64).
(Also I started to think the connection lost message in EOS Utility was due to some error. )
But now it boots to ML!!! YESSS!

BTW, is the card light supposed to be blinking all the time now that I have the newest ML running? Seems kinda weird..
And how about the beeb? Is this some developement thingy, or why does the camera beeb when switching between the shooting modes or when I turn the camera on. I can disable it from settings of course, but will this also disable the minute beeps with long exposures when shooting in nighttime? (That I kinda liked).

My first video with the raw silent picture continuous burst.

-I got a lot of moire, a lot! But wend i upload in youtube it just take out, almost all, of the moire.
-In the first second its show up a corrupt frame. Half pink, maybe because of the card?
-In the sky its also create a kind of a grid. But you can't see here because of the compression of youtube.

Link for the exported file from after effects. For see the heavy moire.

You need to use cr2hdr.exe for the pictures

You get it from this post: http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=7139.0

For those who experienced crash with EOScard 1.36:

Please download the latest  http://pel.hu/down/EOScard.exe  try it and report if it's still crashing or not.
Thanks!

Still the same error. application crashes seconds after opening. how exactly would we bennefit from that update, since 1.35 works just fine.

1.35 use the same zip that once downloaded (you will miss the newer versions or have to delete the zip manually from your tem folder)
1.36 checks the date of the downloaded zip and download it again if necessary.
The bug is in the conversion routine (date to string) probably cause the different locale settings

I have download the 5DII ETTR module from https://bitbucket.org/a_d_/magic-lantern/downloads (the first zip file), this is correct?

Also have the autoexpo.mo, it will work in the 7D?

Put your camera in video mode. Go to camera/photo symbol menu. If you don't find it you need to upgrade 2 files. This 2 files you can find here

http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=3974.msg63547#msg63547

But i think if you use the EOSCard from Pelican you dont need to ugrade this 2 files

When I get back home I will try the new version so what is the correct procedure now if we only work with 1.35 to get latest built?  Can we replace the new files manually on CF card?

This version also crashes after a few seconds with the same Application Error.
Version 1.35 works perfectly.

For those who do not use Eoscard.exe
Don't make the same mistake as me : install the two files (.bin and .sym)on the CF card

Crashed on me too. US Locale settings.

Btw, is there a way to save to video hacks settings? I want to save the GOP and Flush settings. Probably something in the config?
