You probably need to load the mlv_snd module. on the module tab.

I have no idea if it even works since I don't have a 6D, but it compiled, so you can test it if you want. I put in the raw_rec and mlv_rec modules with the SRM changes. And added the stubs from this thread.
https://bitbucket.org/mk11174/magic-lantern/downloads/magiclantern-Nightly.2014Jul09.6D113.zip

Please someone test this new nightly - especially do some memory tests. Additionally provide reported SRM values and if possible provide the increased values for recording time in different resoltions. Please report your findings in the SRM thread here (read the whole thread to know what this is):

thank you for reply,
Where can I find the module mlv?

If you're in the ML menu, you have the "M" tab, far to the right.
Here you can activate modules.
When you use ML for the first time, these modules are not loaded by default.
You have to activate them and turn off your camera, and turn it on again for the modules being loaded (at startup).
I suggest you activate all three modules with MLV in the name

You're probably the one 6d user we've all been waiting for, someone with some coding skills...
Time to get the 6d back, and keep it there, in the nightly builds.
 :D

Have you seen the thread about little dynamic range improvements in iso use ?

http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=10111.0

An iso below 100 for the 6d would be nice  8)

Yup, have seen that. Will have an eye for that. maybe you can help me a little bit. After reading through http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=11080.0 I think I need an overview of what's working, what's not and what needs to be backported and so on. Looks like lots of people of older camera models are missing features and so on. But I for myself need to focus first on 6D. So I put up a public spreadsheet where 6D owners can contribute. Once I hold the camera in my hands I can do my own tests and contribute to ML code where I am capable of doing so. Yes, i know the issues page on bitbucket for 6D. But that's only one side of the issues reported. when looking to TL issue tracker that's not the way I want to start cause ppl seem to be reporting here and there and I have no clue if ML issues are up2date.

here's the link:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1esD8gjphQh3_Y1wnJoUXikMXgY0fNvxIy909_Cf9EM8

sorry I needed to set it this way up. I want to have an overview as reading though all topics and comments I feel like being lost and I bet once holding camera in my hands I won't find all missing feature / bug myself cause my priorities are stills shooting and I come from Nikon. Never hold a canon before in my hands so where to know what's bugged or missing...

I setup a thread here for users to discuss the things for backporting, but seems no one was really interested.

Marsu42 has a 6D and will have a good idea on things that need to be done, but looks like he hasn't been online for a month.

Off the top of my head, this needs doing.

Some other random stuff that needs 6D data, is this (I think), this and this.

I'm sure a1ex will have some other stuff also, need to wait for him to finish his sabbatical.  :P  If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.

No problem.

Always willing to help, would love to have even better "native" iso's on the 6d. Hopefully halve a stop of extra dynamic range can be squeezed out of it. :)

Audionut started a post about how you can help ML community without coding skills.
Good thinking audionut  :D

http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=12657

Posting it here because the 6d is one of the camera's that's not tested as much as the more standard rebels and the immense populair 5d

I'm thinking about getting a 6D:  http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=12676.0

Also, looks like data from the 6D is needed here:  http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=9673.0
Added to the spreadsheet.

there are no modules with MLV in tab menu????????????

Maybe you should search on youtube, for some visual help on using magic lantern.

Don't know which build you downloaded, but if it's one from 2014 it should be something like this.

Turn on your camera.
Hit the "trash button".
By hitting the trash button you see the magic lantern menu
If you now scroll through the tabs in the menu, you'll see that there is one tab that has the title "Modules".
The tab Modules is just a simple list of modules available in you're build,.
As you can see in the Modules tab, the modules in the list are set to "OFF".
If you use the arrow key's you can go to specific modules in this list and by pushing the "set" button on your camera you can turn them "ON, will load".
This means they will be loaded by the next time you turn on your camera.
Now turn all modules with "mlv" in the name to "ON, will load".
Turn of your camera
Turn on your camera
Set your camera in video mode.
hit the trash button to enter the magic lantern menu
go to the tab with the name Movie (It's the tab with the movie camera symbol)
Go with the arrow keys to the option "RAW VIDEO(MLV) and set it to "ON".
Now press the "Q" button on your camera to set some settings you like.
Hit the trash button to get out of the menu.
Now if you hit the "start/stop" button on your camera, you're recording raw video ! :D

RAW_PHOTO_EDMAC needs to be updated, and the skip offsets probably re-calibrated.

See here (under porting notes):  http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=12523.0

Added to spreadsheet.

Here are the image buffer dumps for the canon 6d PAL mode and NTSC mode (see link below for the data on my google drive).
Will do the image buffer dumps with SD monitor attached later on.
Won't be able to do the image buffer dumps with HDMI monitor attached (Don't have the right cable to connect it to the HDMI on my TV)

Something I don't get with MLV for the 6D, maybe someone can help.

In Raw video mode, the cropmark remains on the monitor while you film in 2.39:1 so you can frame exactly.

In MLV raw mode, once the 6D starts recording, the cropmark disappear and you are back on liveview mode.

There's probably a way to disable the Canon liveview as indicated, but I hit the info button and nothing happens.

Thanks if anyone can help.

If the crop marks are visible or not has to do with "global draw" settings.
In the Magic lantern "overlay" menu, you have to set "Global draw" on(all modes).
Within the MLV menu, where you can set resolutions etc. you have to set "global draw" to allow.

Is there a list of 100 percent working features for the 6D out there?

I just bought one today and have been using the stable build on my T2i for about a year and think im going to go ahead and install on the 6d. any info i should know before i take the leap of faith? and would it be suitable for every day use?

About to pull the trigger on the 6D as well!

Is ML's intervalometer function working working well?  Or will I need to buy an external intervalometer?

Thanks for the great job on the development!

As far I can tell all the basic magic lantern functions work, also working;
-Intervalometer
-dual iso
-raw video
-mlv raw video
-mlv raw video with audio
During video recording you can use numereous overlays, like magic zoom, raw histogram, spotmeter etc.

All the builds out there are for firmware version 1.1.3  (need to go to firmware 1.1.2 to set the boot flag)
Canon has launched firmware 1.1.4(with non interesting fixes) a while ago, so keep in mind that you don't upgrade the firmware once you're using Magic Lantern and stick to version 1.1.3.
