I installed ML v2.3 in my canon eos5d mark2.
I am trying to use Stack focus, but Focus menu in ML tells me "Your lens did not report focus distance".
I have some canon-made lenses such as ef24-70mmf2.8 L USM, ef100mf2.8L IS USM macro, and ef16-35mmf2.8L II USM.
None of my lenses makes me use Stack focus. Please help me why?
Sorry about my English. I am japanese.

It does not matter if your lens reports focal distance. You can still use focus stacking. I am almost done with a video tutorial that covers focus stacking. It should be done and posted tomorrow.

If you are not in LiveView no lens will report focus distance.
I'm using ML2.3 for photography with:
EOS 600DML | EOS 400Dplus | EOS 5D MLbeta5- EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro  - EF-S 17-85mm f4-5.6 IS USM - EF 70-200mm f/4 L USM - 580EXII - OsX, PS, LR, RawTherapee, LightZone -no video experience-
