5d MK III + ML Alpha 3 with Rode Stereo VideoMic Pro - recording problem

The Mk III + Rode works normally without ML loaded.  After ML is loaded the audio bars respond to the mic normally until I start recording, RAW or not...  As the recording starts the audio bars drop to zero and stay there.  I can then unplug and replug the mic connector and the audio comes alive.

Another indication is that I don't have the microphone source selector line in the ML configuration menu that I see in 5d MK II Stable 2.6 screen shots.

Is this a know limitation in 5d MK III Alpha 3 or have I goofed something?   Otherwise, the ML is working extremely well and is quite impressive

That's strange, ML does not override any audio settings on 5D3. Does it happen with other external mics?

It's the only external mic I have. 

Is it correct that the Alpha 3 load for the MK III does not have the input source selector in the audio configuration page like the Stable 2.6 does for the MK II?
