Hello,
Many people chose 60d for filming, because of manual audio control. Thanks to Magic Lantern we can reach the manual control on 550d.I'm wondering is 60d worth to pay extra cash now?I'm stucked with these two models.I can buy lenses with 60d's difference if I buy 550d.What do you suggest?
Thanks.

Francis

For video, skip both and go for 600D. No 4gb file limit, crop mode, and you get the articulating screen like the 60D.

But I can't consider just video also I work in photography and 600D is not suitable for photography.

If you compare with 60D It's insufficient.

Sounds like you've made up your mind. If the 600D is insufficient for stills then so is the 550D ;)

Indeed.

The 60D makes shooting stills a nicer task (two dials and the top lcd? Yes please!) but the 600D has the advantage in video mode. The IQ in photos should be roughly the same. The 60D has the edge in AF of course

Anyway, DRTV has your question covered

EOS 1100D | EOS 650 (No, I didn't forget the D) | Ye Olde Canon EF Lenses ('87): 50 f/1.8 - 28 f/2.8 - 70-210 f/4 | EF-S 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 | Metz 36 AF-5

60D's build is nicer than the other 2. As nanomad said, the two dials really make it better to shoot with.

Maybe for filming, yes. But for photos, it's really hard to use only 1 dial if you're used to having two. Also the 60D's AF system is better than the 550D/600D. Whether or not those are important to you depends on your usage and what you're used to. If you've never used 2 dials before, 1 dial seems to be good enough. But once you've used 2 dials, one dial just doesn't cut it IMO.

60D is better for Photo (2dial, double battery life vs 600D, better shutter mechanism, faster and longer frame rate in continuous shooting),
600D better for video, (3x crop mode)
550D is like 600D but without the 600D video and LCD advantages so it's worst than 60D and 600D
650D? I don't have a really clear idea but to me seems worst than 600D on the video side for the lack of the crop mode, for photo is't a little better than the 600D.
But also the 50D id a good camera for photo. better than the 60D on some aspects.

OT. When i first used a 1D with the double wheel i've got 10-12 shot overexposed because accidentally moved the back wheel without noticing it ;)
I'm using ML2.3 for photography with:
