Trap focus, dunno.

Motion detect works as it does not rely on  focus data

Just installed ML on my 650D: Really great work, thank you! One question: are there costumizable shortcut keys to access specific menu items (for instance: I'd happy to have a fast access to the "Auto adjust Kelvin" function)?

AlecWild

Hi folks,

Noob question - I installed the pre-alpha (satriani's latest daily build). No problems installing, but the overlay menu is grayed out. I can toggle the options, but focus peaking, magic zoom, crop marks, etc., - none of them work when I toggle them on. I'm in live view, movie mode, etc. Could someone tell me what I'm missing?

Make sure Global Draw is on

AlecWild

Hi thanks - Global Draw is on - greyed out in LiveView, ON all modes; white in QuickReview. The rest of the overlay menu is still greyed out, no matter what mode Global Draw is in.

Thoughts?

newsense

yeah, hit info until you get to the ML overlay

AlecWild

Well, there's how much a noob I am. I thank you. I'm continually impressed with the cordiality on this board. And the dedicated hard work.

Is there any KELVIN White balance menu on the pre alpha? Also I tried using the camera through an external monitor
and had issues with the focus peaks it just looked like a bar of red static across the middle of the screen and Zebras didnt seem to work, these functions work fine on the camera monitor but not on the external monitor  all other overlays working perfectly except for magic zoom but that has been noted already by other people a few pages back.I like how the Magic lantern menu tabs look on the 650 as well, could it be possible to have a new design for live view screen aswell, I would be more than happy to design something if someone could write the code for it.

Kelvin white balance is enabled on the latest daily compiles, but not Pre-Alpha 2.

tell me why when recording raw video shows pink dots in the center of the frame? can be seen in all assemblies with the raw video. and yet in all the assembly since May 16, when turn on the magic zoom, the picture is choppy, it was not in the build up to and including May 16, and after the raw video as it did not twitch as will not fix. sorry for my English language, I write through a translator.

Pink dots are due to the hybrid AF. The fix is in the backlog right now.

MZ being choppy looks like a regression, I'll fix it ASAP.

About audio meters, I need to investigate the audio section (maybe taking hints from the 6D, dunno). It's on schedule though. Don't worry

What does backlog mean? :P

Foley

It means that they are aware and it is on the list to be fixed, I presume.

Are you guys planning on including movie restart in a later release?

Thanks

It should be working already in the repository. Let me know if it doesn't

Okay, here's what I've got for RAW. A little test video made at my local pier.

Excuse the camerawork; forgot a tripod and had to warp stabilize the h*ll outta it.

Nice job, looks like you put a little time into this! What did you use to remove the af dots? I assume the color/luminance noise reduction in photoshop? What were the settings used?

Pick one:
- Tearing MagicZoom
- In sync MZ but all camera buttons unusable when enabled except for the MZ trigger key.

tell whether the function is implemented digital zoom while recording video, which is in the 600d and 700d, is it worth to wait for it to 650d?
