i tried to google it and figured out it is a wireless trigger,im not sure whether a wireless trigger works but if that still needs to be pluged in the jack on the side of the camera, it would work cuz i tried my wire trigger?cable trigger?(dunno what to call it for my poor vocabulary.....) just now.it worked and started recording video when i half push the shutter,

same 650D. :)
i found the [REC key] under the MOVIE section, and set it to [halfshutter],and it worked, with a wired shutter trigger or just the shutter on the camera.

BUT i noticed that the instructions below says [Start recording by press shutter halfway. Wired remote]

@nanomad    does that mean a wired remote works with this feature but a wireless one doesn't?

i guess there must be some difference of the operating principles between the wired and wireless remote/shutter trigger

Hey guys, cheers for all the great work.

I think there may be a bug, when you flip the screen round so that is facing the same way the lens is, (for self shooting) the magic lantern overlay is mirrored vertically!

Is this a known issue?

Does that mean RAW video is not semi-bricking cameras now?

Thanks for all the work!  It's amazing that the 650D can support RAW at any res!

So where exactly can I find these new builds? I've been wanting to try out RAW and the other various features but the main Nanomad filesystem doesn't seem to have them.

Also on a side note: has ML.fm been loading slowly for anyone else?

Hi All,

Maximum Read and Write is at 33mb/s on a 64GB Class 10 which should be able to transfer at 95MB/s.

You need to compile build from a last source or you can feel free an use build compiled by me here.
Set a boot flags an your SD and extract zip to SD. Works very well.
And please diligently and extensively report the bugs ;)

Hi All,

Maximum Read and Write is at 33mb/s on a 64GB Class 10 which should be able to transfer at 95MB/s.

8 bits (b) = 1 Byte (B) Minimum performance for Class10 (according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_digital#Speed_Class_Rating) is 10MB/s.  33Mb/s would be equivalent to ~4MB/s.  Likely the Max Read/Write benchmark you are referring to is 33MB/s which is not 95MB/s.

I have always found the whole class rating and 100x and other marketing crap of SD cards to be highly confusing.  I have to look it up every time I'm shopping for a new one.

testing here
Achieving 200 frames at 1280x720
34MB/s with my 45MB sandisk. :P
all other ML things turned off (zebras, focus peaking etc)

below that i can record without problems.
higher than that i can only do like between 2 seconds and 4 seconds. the best i can top it´s like 45MB

what´s the best workflow with this raw?
can anybody share some good tutorial :)

reporting again~~~~

i tried the RAW feature under 1280*720, skipped one frame every 300 frames, and the speed is around 35MB/s, sandisk U-1,45MB/s,im not sure weather the card speed is enough, a U-1 should be 45MB/s shouldn't it?

i transferred the raw to dng sequence and imported to after effects
but in each frame there is a strange area of redish grain, and its in the certain position of the picture and doesn't move with the stuff inside the picture

how do i upload my picture?
