After some more testing I come to the following regarding my CPU-load:
* With just the LV overlay (No zebras, Magic zoom or Focus peak) it seems to stabilize on 72% cpu-load.
* As soon as I turn on zebras, it maxes out on 98-99% and stays there.

Regarding the lit card-LED:
* As soon as I cycle through the LV overlays (0 and 1) with the Info button the LED turns on, and stays lit.
* After I shut off LV the LED goes from constant ON to short blinks 5 seconds apart after 30 seconds.

for me:
Everything off and no LV 3.2-3.4%
every thing off ( including global draw) and LV on and focus on manual:  CPU + 69.6- 70.8%

If i turn auto focus on: it is up to 79.1-79.3
If i then turn LV off, it drops to 39% when focusing

LV on, and Global draw and zebras it goes up to 84.2-84.6%
Add focus peak and it increases to 99.2-99.4%

If I then turn autofocus off again, in drops slighly to 996.8-97.2%

I can confirm the led light:

Go te prefs, and turn on LV display presets to 2.
cycle with info button in lv, and led turns solid.

ihowever i cant get it to go off by shutting of lv, it stays solid.

I just got Magic Lantern for my Canon 650D now, and I must say, it works great!!! I have used the Intervalometer function in about two hours now, and it works great. 750 pictures taken so far :)

Oh yeah, I just called Canon on it, but they wanted me to start up a case, I just hung up on Him. I will diagnose myself, and yes I agree boomerang it if it fails. Quicker and faster then any RMA.

The battery pack no longer works with camera therefore cannot do that. It may be in the unlocking of the Boot loader. I am just hoping that it did not fry anything in the camera as I was removing the battery pack. I am hoping that the battery pack if anything failed which I will test on Friday and will post my findings. I just wanted to know if there was a way to Relock the boot loader into the original firmware. I am sure if a new firmware comes out I will be able to apply that and should relock the BL.

Received new Grip, and it works. I purchased the Same make and model. So apparently I had the battery pack inside the grip while removing it, that's what I am thinking. So please note that the Grip is working and thanks goes out to everyone who addressed my concerns. I am now returning grip back to the Big A.

Nanomad or other Devs. is there a link you can post that shows me how to write the Scripts so I can make an HDR 7 exposure script and where and how to apply it to the camera many thanks for the great job.

I did note that while shooting a 7 minute video with default ML settings that the Camera body became very hot, as I am sure this is related to the High CPU load, I am wondering if this is normal with all those features running? as I see from posts that its happening, my concern is Overheating the board.

When I use LumaFast in the zebras i get 75%

QuoteAdd focus peak and it increases to 99.2-99.4%

Focus peak bumps it up to 96%

Everything else is similar, except my LED turns from solid to flashing 30 seconds after i turn off LV and the canon info (completely black screen).

LV presets are ok with props on, so I guess that's why they are not working.

I've fixed a little bug that made the canon metering draw over the ML ui (it still does, but for a split second)

I am not a developer, so i may be wrong.

The developers post an alpha, on order to get feedback on this particular build.

You and anybody is free to compile what they want, however, if people start reporting bugs, from your build its may be difficult to track whats going on.

Additional if you make a mistake and brick your own camera, thats your own problem, if you brick someone else its camera they will turn to the developers to fix it.  And that may be very hard for them.

Therefor i would advise if you have the skills to compile it yourself, please do so, otherwise be patient....

Self compilation has props enabled, hence the manual white balance and whatnot. IIRC, having props enabled is /very/ dangerous.

Did some testing with the video modes on Pre Alpha 2. I filmed some footage at 1080 24p. The normal bitrate usually comes out at around 50mbps. I upped it to 1.3x and it came just over 60mbps. I tried 1.4x but for some reason it went back to 50mbps. Anyone else try this?
