so  wait if the camera can do a tops of 40mbs then does that mean there isnt a point to spending a small fortune on a 95mbs memory card like SanDisk Extreme Pro and better of getting just the SanDisk Extreme at 45mbs second and using that extra cash to get a larger capacity card instead?

Yes, unless a canon update brings the 208Mhz mode (unlikely, I hope the 700D has it but then, who knows)

Gradual Expo - On -  Ramping Speed 1EV/16 Frame
HDR Video - ISO 200/800v 2EVO

Recorded Video also Flicker

RTFM - http://wiki.magiclantern.fm/userguide#hdr_video

It's suppose to flicker, that's how the HDR Video feature works.

I'm running PreAlpha2 here on my T4i. It's working, and I'm happy! Thank you, Nanomad!

Here is the benchmarks of my cards:

For those still struggling to enable boot flag. Here is how I got it working:
Downloaded the fir file (650D-safe-dumper)
Downloaded the 650D Alpha 2 file
Downloaded the program to make the SD card bootable. (EOScard)

Format SD card (Low Level in Camera)
Copy fir file onto SD Card
Update firmware in camera
Remove SD card
Copy ML Alpha2 650D onto SD Card
Put SD Card back in
Install ML Alpha 2 650D (Update firmware in camera)
Remove SD Card
Make the SD bootable (using the program EOScard, Tick first two boxes, Press Save, Refresh)
Put SD Card back in

Done.

Aborgh - Do you have files to 650D?  If you have got, could you send me?

I posted the links in a previous post and found all the links here in this thread.

"-Download the .fir file from https://bitbucket.org/hudson/magic-lantern/src/99bd629f7c5712346369840e64c04fd2d4576520/platform/650D.101/devkit/650D-safe-dumper.fir?at=unified (Thanks to Lucas_W for pointing out the link, I would have uploaded the .fir myself but thought who would use firmware from some stranger)

Enable the bootflag on the SD card:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Do a low-level format of the SD card (DO NOT SKIP THIS)
 - Enable SD card bootflag using EOSCard or similar ( software to make the card bootable: http://wiki.magiclantern.fm/3rd_party_software )

Install Magic Lantern
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- Copy over the files to the SD card ( Download ML Alpha 2 for the 650D here: http://nanomad.magiclantern.fm/650D/magiclantern-v2.3.NEXT.2013Apr30.650D.PreAlpha2.zip and unzip to the root of your SD card. You should than have a ML folder and an autoexec.bin on the root of your SD card. "

Also this ML stuff is amazing. Can not wait for final release with everything working 100%.

Mine showed up with small boxes and said "ML did not find no fonts" or something like that and some white texts in the upper left corner kept on flashing... :S

rather than have to figure out where all these files are at..........

Create a magic lantern folder on your hard drive

Download http://nanomad.magiclantern.fm/650D/magiclantern-v2.3.NEXT.2013Apr30.650D.PreAlpha2.zip (unzip all files to your ml folder)

On your camera select menu, first wrench icon, format card

download https://bitbucket.org/hudson/magic-lantern/src/99bd629f7c5712346369840e64c04fd2d4576520/platform/650D.101/devkit/650D-safe-dumper.fir?at=unified, then copy the .fir file to your card and put it back in the camera.

With the cam in manual mode, go to last wrench setting before star, fimware ver, set,  select ok, then my menu settings will read enablebootdisk :)

Put your card in the computer and download http://pel.hu/down/EOScard.exe and run this program

Check EOS Devlop and Bootdisk boxes, save

Check the card, if EOS card wrote any files, delete them

Copy from your ML folder these files: ML folder, autoexec.bin and 650D-safe-dumper.fir to your card

Put card in camera and press the trashcan button after it boots, then the left arrow button to the left of the set button

I low formated the card , Downloaded the 650D-safe-dumper.fir put it on the SDHC card, tried to update and thats when the "ML something something" white text in the upper left corner appeared saying something about some font and then a smal QR code look-a-like box appeared in the middle of the screen. Thats when I panicked and shut the camera off, removed the battery and removed the files that were on the SDHC.

Or is it suppose to do this?

You need the FIR and ML files on the card too.

But:
-  Remove any third party accessories / batteries first
-  Don't use a battery grip
- Clear canon settings and Cfn
- Run fw upgrade from PHOTO M mode (not video, photo)
