audio recordin and monitoring into 5d mark II

hi

I want to record sound straight into the camera.
I want to buy the RM333 preamp (http://www.juicedlink.com/audio-preamps-mixers-etc-c-66/rm333-riggy-micro) and connect headphones on the camera with ML installed.
I would connect the headphones in a way i read here on the forum, with the analog Canon A/V cable and a cinch to trs adapter cable - topic http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=2880.0;nowap
As anyone tried this? Am i missing something?

i know of the RA333 preamp but i prefer the RM333. lighter, cheaper and will work with cameras with earplug.
