I'm using Magic Lantern 2.3 on my 500d.  I'm taking QScale -16 footage to my Class 10 SD Card.  I really want to keep the best quality I can all the way until I upload to vimeo.

I'm using Final Cut Pro 7 to import the footage using Log & Transfer.  During the Log & Transfer process I transcode to Apple ProRes 422 (LT).

In Final Cut Pro I have created a sequence which is 24 fps but since the header of my video files still reads 30 fps they do not match.

How do I make Final Cut Pro treat my footage as true 24fps and not 30 fps?  I remember seeing a tutorial with some other editing software where they told the editing suite to "Interpret" the footage as 24fps, but I can't find that in Final Cut Pro 7.

Thank you.

Use Cinema Tools, which is bundled with FCP7. Add the files and select Conform clips under one of the very few menus. Should be nearly instantaneous. Then load clip into FCP.
