2.3 updates
« on: April 19, 2013, 03:31:50 PM »
Has the 2.3 version had any updates since its release or is the download available today the same as the download available in Nov. 2012?  Just curious.

Other than the nightly's.

Nope, if it had any updates it wouldn't be 2.3 anymore, would it? :P

I downloaded the  4-20 build and tested it on a 4 1/2 hr shoot.  Very stable, had no issues with any of the features I used.  I did notice the MZ window seemed much more stable than the 2.3 version.  Did not flicker at all and focus confirm was spot on.

The powers that be are discussing going to a "rolling release" and I think that will encourage more users to try the latest releases. http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=5205.0

My initial question about the 2.3 updates was because I could have sworn that I had a few features back in Nov. that no longer appear in the current menu. Particularly the "Easy menu" option, but I could be mistaken.

Either way, I am very enthusiastic about the latest nightly builds and will continue to test them, especially when they get the rolling releases going.

Kudos to the devs

Does 2.3 version work on the 7D? Currently using Alpha 2 and love it! Just haven't used it to its full potential yet but what I have used is amazing, Thanks Magic Lantern Team!
